Electricity is a serious matter and can pose a great danger to homes. Exposed wires, electrode splicing without a junction box, incorrect use of conductors, lack of adequate grounding, several electrical appliances connected to the same socket are some of the inadequate ducts that can cost a person's life. 1) Maintenance:

2) Wires and Sockets:

Be careful with wires and sockets, especially if there are children in the house. Check that the wires are well covered and cover the sockets with protectors found in decoration and construction material stores.

3) Electric Shower:

Never adjust the shower temperature while it is on. Turn off the power to this, as the bathroom is a very humid area, which does not mix with electricity.

4) Refrigerator:

A refrigerator or any equipment that is giving small shocks, even those that are almost imperceptible, needs to be replaced. These objects cannot be donated or, as often happens, taken to the beach house, where they will be used less.

5) Lamps:

Even for something as simple as changing light bulbs, the power source must be turned off. People think that if they get an electric shock, it will be mild and will not cause any problems, but they forget that they can lose their balance because of it and fall down the stairs. Often what is fatal is the fall.

6) Hair Dryer, Straightener and Shaver:

Use them in the bedroom or in a very dry place, avoiding wet areas of the bathroom. Do not use them while your body is still wet, after getting out of the shower. In the case of electric shavers, choose battery-powered models.

9) Electric fences:

Electric fences must be installed by specialized companies. Ask if there is an electrical engineer responsible for the installation.

10) Gardens and Sidewalks:

Do not build or plant large trees under power lines. Do not mow grass on very humid or rainy days. Install TV antennas away from the power grid.

11) Lighting for Swimming Pools and Outdoor Areas:

For internal pool lighting, use only fiber optics. For outdoor lighting, do not install posts or metal objects near the pool.
