OJT programsWith the job market changing at a rapid pace, having a degree alone is no longer enough. Companies hire employees who work well and perform well from day one. This is where are needed. OJT is no longer just an old concept; it is becoming a new era of training and placement for fresh graduates and professionals. Instead of learning theory for months in classrooms, OJT provides learners with the opportunity to gain real-world work experience during the training itself. It bridges the gap between what students learn and what companies expect.

Evision Technoserve is one of the companies leading the OJT charge! Evision Technoserve focuses on OJT and further training for students entering a variety of demanding career tracks, including IT, digital marketing, data analytics, and networking, among others.

What is on-the-job training?

OJT is an abbreviation for On-the-Job Training. OJT is a learning method in which trainees or students (interns) are placed in a company's real work environment and guided by an experienced mentor.

During OJT, you practice skills on real projects, rather than just reading about projects. For example:

● When you study OJT for graphic design, you will work on real client designs.

● When you are OJT for software development, you will create real code in ongoing projects.

● When you are OJT for digital marketing, you will run live campaigns.

Working in a real company environment provides an authentic learning experience that accelerates the learning process, makes learning more relevant, and is considered more valuable in the labor market.

Why OJT is the Future of Training and Placement

Real skills, not just theoretical learning

Many new graduates either don't get interviews or get rejected because they understand the theory but can't apply their knowledge to real situations. OJT solves this problem as you get real-world experience right from day one!

Real and direct contact with the industry

Often, OJT programs are done in collaboration with companies. In such situations, you are starting your industry experience and connecting with professionals, which leads to quicker placements; potential employers already know about you.

Higher placement rates

Employers prefer candidates familiar with the workplace culture and equipment. OJT-trained candidates often get jobs upon completion of their OJT training.

Real-world experience that helps you boost your self-esteem

When you are training in OJT, you are working in a real office environment. You’re learning how to deal with deadlines, the importance (impact) of communicating with teammates and clients, and these are skills any employer will appreciate.

How OJT is evolving in a new era

OJT is changing as technology advances and diverse work styles grow:

Hybrid learning – Some training takes place online, with practical components of tasks to be performed for the company.

Project-based learning – All skills learned are acquired through real projects rather than simulations or mock examples.

Mentoring programs – Each trainee will get some guidance from a real industry expert.

Placement assistance – Many institutes or companies offer placement assistance to help you find a full-time job after your OJT.

In the example of OJT in data analytics, you might spend two days a week focusing on virtual classes and then three days applying what you learned to a real data project at the company. The result will be that you will have developed not only a knowledge base but also a portfolio of real experience that will be beneficial to you when talking to employers.

Benefits for Students and Fresh Graduates

● Learn Better – Practical experience is embedded in your memory better than theory.

● Earn While You Learn - Some OJT programs even provide stipends.

● Job-Ready Skills – From technical skills to soft skills, you know what companies want.

To top it off, Evision Technoserve offers an added value - the placement-oriented training is tailored specifically towards the skills companies are currently looking for.

Benefits for Employers

It is not only the students who gain; the companies benefit too:

Trained Workers – They have individuals who are familiar with their work style.

Reduced Hiring Risk – They can evaluate the trainees before offering them a full-time position.

Fresh Ideas – The young trainees will exhibit fresh perspectives and creativity.

By working with Evision Technoserve, the companies will have new competent candidates from whom they can benefit immediately.

Challenges and How to Tackle Them

As great as OJT is, it poses a few challenges:

Quality of training - Not all OJT courses are well put together. Solution: Choose institutes or companies that are reputable, like Evision Technoserve.

Time management - It's a challenge to train as well as to work. Solution: Be organized and have a schedule, and request help from your mentor when needed.

Adjusting to workplace culture - New trainees may struggle to adjust to the professional workplace itself. Solution: Companies should have an orientation program to facilitate the new employee's adjustment.

The Importance of Technology in OJT

Today's OJT employs modern features of old tools:

● Learning Management Systems (LMS) are modern tools that track progress.

● Collaboration tools, like Slack or Microsoft Teams, help the user connect with the team.

● Online project boards, e.g, Trello or Asana, allow a user to manage tasks.

● AI-based training tools give immediate feedback and suggestions.

The blend of technology and real learning makes OJT more effective at creating job-ready professionals.

Conclusion

OJT is undoubtedly a new-age training and placement tool that breaks the age-old cycle of "no job without experience, no experience without a job". On-the-job training gives you both the features at the same time.

For students, this means quicker learning, increased confidence, and a better chance of getting hired. For companies, this means the employee has experience and is ready to work day one.

Evision Technoserve is leading the charge, offering an industry-focused, project-based, placement-based OJT program. If you are looking for a way to further your education and turn your dreams into reality, Evision Technoserve may be a great choice for you.
