Youth refers to the transitional period- the most important and dynamic segment of the population of a nation. This period is the formation time of life .The youth stands as the most dynamic and crucial segment weilding the potential to shape India's destiny ..When children and youth get proper education, values, ethics and morality, the future of our country is bright.

India's youth is an unparalleled demographic advantage with a staggering sixty five percent of youth above the age of thirty five. Currently the average age of Bharat being 26 With this immense potential it is imperative to channelise this energy towards a constructive cause especially in a country as vast as Bharat which is the seventh largest, fifth largest economy, the biggest workforce of the world- both skilled and unskilled and the oldest civilization of the world. As we dive into these statistics it becomes evident that investing in their education, health and rights is not just a choice but a necessity for unprecedented growth.

In my opinion, the youth of Bharat has to work on and develop on two aspects: the first one is having a sense of patriotism in nation building. The very essence of a nation has always been based on devotion towards the motherland: be it today or centuries ago- for how can we envision an individual without a higher motive/ aspiration ? Let it be the French / Russian/ the revolt of 1857: behind all these huge mass movements there has always been a pulsating fire of patriotism. Patriotism is not just an act of Rashtragan rather , it is the steady emergence and growth of a feeling of deep love towards the nation - a dedication of lifetime. The youth ( powerhouse of the country if I could say) could do wonders if they would carry endeavours coupled with patriotism towards the nation..... Patriotism is not just the thumping of hearts, reciting slogans, poems, delivering speech or only singing the Rashtragan, it is also the hands that contribute be it even the smallest of efforts towards making Bharat a powerful, atma nirbhar nation. Choosing to recycle, choosing steel/ copper bottles over plastic ones, being vocal for local, preferring articles which are made in India, striving towards a Swachh Bharat...that is patriotism which if inculcated within the hearts of youth would do wonders in the development of our nation and that will be the power of youth. Without patriotism there cannot be a sense of responsibility towards our nation and most importantly towards humanity. Commitment and love plays a pivotal role in the process of making an independent nation ( Desh prem ki jwala hi Bharat ko unnati ki aur agrasar karegi)

The second aspect ,I believe, is the role of youth towards economic and social development : the youth posess the power towards uniting diverse ethnic groups, combat racism and promoting peace and love. In this era of digital revolution the youth has unstoppable access to information and technology. This can be a powerful tool for social change. With the power of social media, they can amplify their voices, raise awareness about pressing issues and mobilise communities towards a shared vision and goal. By providing opportunities for unemployed educated youth, we can tap into their intelligence to make a significant impact at national and international levels The youth can also promote towards strengthen ing democracy through youth representation also, as a key demographic they weild influence over electoral outcomes shaping policies and political scenario. From addressing youth centered issues to resolving it through representation the youth ensures that the governance aligns with the aspirations. A diverse youth voter turnout improves upon the needs of the citizens giving a transparent view to the political representatives thus strengthening the accountability aspect of a democracy.

At present about 39 percent of India's gross national income is contributed by the youth aged 15-29 years. As the world progresses the importance of having a strong and stable economy becomes more and more important. The youth of today are more educated than ever before and have access to a whole lot of information at their fingertips The youth have got potential to start business, create jobs and innovate new products or services or engage in social entrepreneurship. The role of youth in economic development is crucial. As the world progresses it is important for young people to be a part of that progress. The journey towards progress and prosperity is a collaborative effort and the involvement of youth is instrumental in ensuring that India's trajectory is one of the continual growth, innovation and inclusivity.
